Brand-new Spotify artists (NEW)
LatestOctober 12, 2026
An artist with no Spotify profile yet can now be marked as brand-new: send
"external-artist-id": "NEW" for Spotify on
POST /artist-dsp-availabilities
or PATCH /artist-dsp-availabilities/{id}. No URL is needed; it is stored as
null. It is accepted only for an artist with no Spotify profile linked that
does not appear on a release already sent, and NEW is replaced with the real
Spotify ID once it is available.
Extended track credits
October 12, 2026
Tracks now accept instrument and additional role credits beyond the core artist roles: send them in the new
extended-credits
attribute on POST /tracks and PATCH /tracks/{id}.
GET /credit-roles
lists every role and instrument you can use, roles first and then instruments, each by name, and
GET /track-credits
reads the credits back, filtered by track, album, artist or role.
Webhooks
October 5, 2026
Webhooks are now available: register
an HTTPS URL with POST /webhook-endpoints, choose the event types you want,
and receive one signed POST per event: an album changing status, a
distribution request moving forward, a delivery being created, what happened to a delivery at the store (sent,
completed, rejected, failed or skipped), and an analytics report finishing.
Royalties: your statement
October 1, 2026
GET /royalties/summary
and GET /royalties/payments
are now documented: they return the current royalty position, its period-by-period history and the payment
history of the authenticated user, with no identifier to send. Both accept an optional period range,
filter[period-from] and filter[period-to]
(YYYY-MM, inclusive); on the summary it narrows the history, never the current balance.
Artists: same-name artists
September 28, 2026
POST /artists
accepts meta.allow-duplicate-name: send true to create
a new artist even when your user already has one with that name. Without it, the existing artist is returned, as before.
Users resource
July 30, 2026
/users
is now available: list, create and update the users of your organization, assign roles and manage their DSP
access.
